Dnd 5e Dmg Starting Gold Higher Level

Dnd 5e Dmg Starting Gold Higher Level

I'm making pregen characters - one for each Class - for an upcoming con game next month. I'll be running 'White Plume Mountain' (which somebody has thankfully already converted to 5e), and figure there will be up to six players (so they'll all be able to pick from among the 12 pregens I've created).
I'd like to give each of the PCs a magical item or two. But - not being that experienced with D&D - I want to make sure I don't overdo things or make them way too powerful.
So give me an idea of how many magical items a PC would likely have by this level? One or two?
I'm also not sure if I should roll them up randomly (using the charts in the DMG), or pick a few cool ones that will supplement individual PC weaknesses.

Dnd 5e Dmg Types

Jul 30, 2018  DMG pg38, starting at higher levels, is what you are looking for. As for Adv/Disadv, I would say, that playing from lvl 1 to 5 might or might not give you a random magic item, whil starting at lvl 5+ using that table let's you CHOOSE the magic item you like most, making character creating a bit breaking (Like dumping STR completelly because you are going to choose Gauntlets of Ogre Power. For example, if you are the aforementioned Ranger 4/wizard 3, you count as a 5th-level character when determining your spell slots: you have four 1st-level slots, three 2nd-level slots, and two 3rd-level slots.
