Better Than the First
KOTOR was, in many ways, the perfect Star Wars RPG. It was fun, it was high stakes and it was a clear-cut case of good vs. evil. KOTOR II exceeds this.
KOTOR II sees you play as one of the sole remaining jedi in a galaxy that wants them to stay buried. Moral ambiguity is everywhere. Unlike the previos game, you’re not fighting to save the galaxy from evil, or to rule it with an iron first, you’re fighting for your own survival.
The game starts off with you awakening on the mining world of Peragus II. The miners are dead and someone drugged you into a coma. This brilliant opening sequence sets the tone for the rest of the game: you’ve been away too long and things have become damaged in your absence. You quickly realise that someone is hunting you and you have no idea why. You’re going to need information if you’re going to turn the tables.
With the game now on Mac you can experience the Restored Content Modification — a fan made project that restores cut content to the final game. The devlopment cycle of the game was cut short by Lucas Arts in order to get it out for a holiday release; consequently, lots of interesting content — including a whole planet — was cut. The only way you should play this game is with TSL:RCM installed.
From the ambiguous Kreia to the psycopathic HK-47, this game has one of the most memorable casts in RPG history. It is, without a doubt, one of the best games ever made. 5/5
Little more than a nostalgia trip
When I play a game, I prefer quality to quantity.
With sparsely-populated levels that take ages to navigate, and repetitive side plots which add little entertainment but a lot of time, KOTOR II prioritises the latter. Unlike the first game, which I played through several times, I haven’t felt compelled to go back and finish it. To be fair to it, I did enjoy the novelty of playing on new maps for the first hour or two; if all you want is more play-time, this will fit the bill.
In summary - this is a good nostalgia trip for people who loved KOTOR, but a poor game in its own right.
To much freezing makes the same almost unplayable
I have a late 2015 iMac running El Capitan.
I have stopped playing this for 2 reasons. The first is that it is almost exactly the same gave as the first game, even down to ‘waking up with no memory’. The second is the fame rate is terrible, in some situations I only seems to be getting a couple of frames per second.
So I have stopped playing it.

If you have audio or video files on your computer, you can import them into iTunes so they appear in your iTunes library. Open iTunes for me. In the iTunes app on your Mac, choose File Add to Library. Locate a file or folder, then click Open. If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library. Add dmg file to itunes. Download the beta.dmg. Open it in a file compression/extraction program (I used 7-Zip). Locate and extract the.ipsw file. In 7.1 beta 3 this two levels deep in the 2.hfs file. In iTunes, goto the Summary screen for your iPhone. Hold Shift and click Restore iPhone. Select the.ipsw file. You can always add music files to iTunes. After you save or copy an MP3, AIFF, or WAV file on your hard drive, you can simply drag it into the iTunes window to bring it into your library. If you drag a folder or disk icon, all the audio files that it contains are added to your iTunes library.
Are you a Mac gamer and a Star Wars fan? If you are, I’m afraid 2019 will be a tough year for you.
MacOS has never been the place to be for serious Star Wars fans. After all, the company in charge of Star Wars games, EA, is notorious for having no love for the Mac platform (when was the last time we saw an EA game on Mac?).
But we knew that already. 2019 will be a tough year because it’s the year the majority of Star Wars games on Mac were discontinued.
X Research source A few licks every now and then are not a problem and may even be endearing. Perhaps more importantly, obsessive licking is often a sign of heightened anxiety, and should be addressed for your dog's sake, as well as your own. If your dog licks you or your guests obsessively, however, it may get tiresome very quickly. When your dog licks you, he/she is most likely doing so to express affection or communicate submission, indicating that he/she respects you as his/her master. Prevent dmg from beign delieted.
The good news? Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 are here to stay.
All the Star Wars Mac games you can no longer play…
The Force used to be strong on Mac. In fact, several Star Wars games had an official Mac version, until recently… Indeed, with Apple’s decision to stop supporting 32-bit apps, most of the great Star Wars game available on Mac will no longer work on Catalina, the newest macOS version.
On top of that, Aspyr Media, the company in charge of most Star Wars Mac games, officially announced that a large part of their back catalog will be discontinued.
A once a great Star Wars choice, no longer available for Mac…
(if not, you can run it from the.pkg file itself by double-clicking and mounting the installer. That being said, this is how to locate and save the.dmg file locally. What you want to do is:. Installed dmg pkg to usb adapter.
Unfortunately, the list of discontinued games includes most of their Star Wars games:
- Star Wars: Empire at War
- Star Wars: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Older choices for retro gamers
Not everything is bad news. If we take a look at GOG’s catalog of older games, they still offer a few Star Wars games for Mac:
Granted, these are old-school games that only retro gamers will appreciate, but it’s still good to have options. For the rest of us, one of the most critically-acclaimed Star Wars ever released remains at our disposal.
Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic 2 on Mac
KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords is the sequel to the cult classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In KOTOR 2, you take control of an exile who rediscovers her connection to the Force.
As with any other RPG, you decide how your character looks like, but through certain dialogue options and decisions, you can also affect your character’s alignment with the Force. Acts of kindness and nobility reflect the light side, while cruel or vile, the dark side.
Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic 2 was released for Mac on July 21, 2015. But that wasn’t just a Mac release 10 years too late, it was the release of a remastered version of the game.
With that release, Aspyr made an already great game even better:
The update included the following:
- 37 achievements to be earned through gameplay
- Steam Cloud saves
- Native widescreen resolution support
- Resolution support up to 4K and 5K
- Support for controllers, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4, along with several others
- Steam Workshop support! We proudly worked with the Restored Content Mod Team to have their famous TSLRCM up on launch day
And while all those features are excellent additions, the Restored Content Mod is probably the best one. As explained by Kotaku:
Knights Of The Old Republic 2 Mac Dmg Full
The Restored Content Mod is a years-spanning project that aims to return the game to its proper form—rather than the sloppy, stitched together version that was originally released due to publisher pressure and time constraints.

Sierra convert dmg to iso with disk utility windows 10. The disk image is read-only.Read/write: Allows you to add files to the disk image after it’s created.DVD/CD master: Can be used with third-party apps. It includes a copy of all sectors of the disk image, whether they’re used or not.
The mod adds a handful of endings and the infamous HK Factory and fixes hundreds of bugs.
If for some reason, you missed this excellent RPG 15 years ago, this is the best time to give it a shot.
